It is well-known that Canada’ national tree is the Maple, with its distinctive leaves. The beaver (snigger) is Canada’s national animal. The national flower is a “blond demon” born in Thurso PQ, who spent his formative years wearing the number ten in the livery of the bleu-blanc-rouge of Les Habitants but is now reduced to peddling foot massagers to the few nostalgic, elderly Canadians who still watch broadcast TV.
